Questions On Prayer
|
What is Prayer?
|
Prayer is communicating directly with God, who loved us so much that
He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to suffer and die. Then God raised Him from the dead to
defeat sin and death for us. Because of Jesus, we can come to God in prayer, to talk and
listen to Him.
|
Why Should I Pray?
|
Prayer is for you as well as for God. Knowing that you have spoken
with God about a problem or sin can bring comfort and peace. Satisfaction can also be
found in thanking God for something He has done in you life. God knows all about you
already, but He wants a personal relationship with you. As with any relationship,
communication helps your relationship with God to grow and become more meaningful.
|
How Do I Pray?
|
Remember, prayer is a conversation between you and God. He is big
enough and powerful enough to know all people, just as they are. You do not need to use
certain words, or speak in a certain way, to be heard by God. Be yourself, speak
naturally, and be honest with God.
|
What Happens After Prayer?
|
God promises to hear and understand the prayers of all who believe.
While he may not answer in the way you desire, He will answer in the way that is best for
you. Pray, read His Word in The Bible, listen and watch. Trust God and be open to any
answer.
