Get Acquainted…
|
Get acquainted with as many people as you can. Your fellow members are
friendly, but some of them are a little shy. Don't feel bad if you don't know or cannot
remember everyone's name Just say "Hello" and talk about whatever seems good at
the time.

Worship Regularly…
|
A service of worship is an appointment with God and it should not be
broken without valid reason. We all need the "lift" the hour of worship brings
us. We all need the strength that comes from regular and frequent reception of the Lord's
Supper. Worship is a special gift from God.

A song of ascents. Of David. I rejoice with those who said to me, "Let us
go to the house of the LORD,"

Find Your Place…
|
Find you place in the life of the church. You can't do everything there is
to be done, but there are some things you will want to do. Select one or more of the
church organizations that interest you - and then be active - participate - attend
meetings!

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Accept and Assignment
|
The church officers would not be carrying out their duties if they did not
attempt to enlist workers. To work for Christ is an honor and a privilege which brings
much purpose and joy into a persons life. Be ready to work when asked - or volunteer to
work!
John 9:4 (NIV)
As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me.
Night is coming, when no one can work.

Remember to Call…
|
Do you have a problem? Call the pastor. No problem will be unimportant to
him if it is not unimportant to you. Be honest and frank. He will understand. He will not
scold or be shocked. He will not betray a confidence. Call Your pastor, so that he can be
your pastor.
Galatians 6:2 (NIV)
Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Use Your Offering Envelopes
|
For a very practical reason - it is easier to record accurately your
offerings to the Lord. Besides, that's the systematic way to give for the work of Christ.
It enables you to set aside a definite amount for His work at home and around the world
even on those Sundays when you can't attend church.
2 Chronicles 31:5 (NIV)
...the Israelites generously gave the first fruits of their grain, new wine, oil and honey
and all that the fields produced. They brought a great amount, a tithe of everything.
